About Us
Founded in 1991, the Georgia Field Hockey Association (“GFHA”) is a non-profit, recreational club dedicated to promoting and preserving the sport of field hockey for both men and women.
As one of a few adult clubs located in the South, we are constantly looking to increase our membership and we welcome men and women of all skill levels, including beginners.

We play weekly, attend tournaments, and socialize throughout the year! You do not need to be a member to start joining, but GFHA Membership does allow you to play weekly, and attend some socials and tournaments without drop-in fees.
Weekly Play
We play just about EVERY week of the year outdoor, at Dunwoody Springs Elementary School turf.
Drop-ins always welcome, all you need is water, a stick, and ideally shin guards and mouthguard.
Membership cost covers all play!
Tournaments
A few times a year, we travel to tournaments across the US, and host one locally, Atlanta Cup annually.
We communicate these as they come up. Costs would include travel, stay, and a small tournament fee.
Socials
Each week, a group goes to lunch after practice, and tournaments are also very social.
A few times a year we plan specific parties, like a Lake Day, holiday party, annual Birthday Match, etc.
We communicate these as they arise!
What do you need to do to join?
Just show up! No membership or fee required at your first two practices.

Weekly PLAY
We play together, coed, with all skill levels most Sundays. Below is our typical seasons for weekly play.
March - May
Spring League
7v7, 3 team league with 2 games per week. 10 week season with playoffs the last week!
June - Aug.
Open Play
Throw sticks in and we pick teams to scrimmage.
Sept. - Nov.
Fall League
7v7, 3 team league with 2 games per week. 10 week season with playoffs the last week!
Dec. - feb.
Open Play
Throw sticks in and we pick teams to scrimmage.

Cost
Free for GFHA Members.
Non-members: $100 for the league or $20 drop in.

Tournaments
Each year, GFHA hosts the Atlanta Cup, and travels to a variety of other tournaments. Find the upcoming tournaments below.
Atlanta Cup
Annually, GFHA hosts the Atlanta Cup. Historically, this is a 11v11 tournament with a Mens and Women’s divisions.

As GFHA hears about tournaments, they will be posted here. We will see if there is enough interest per tournament, and confirm with the selected players so they can book travel.

atlanta youth club
Atlanta Field Hockey Club is the youth/junior field hockey club in the Greater Atlanta Area and State of Georgia. Because GFHA is mainly an adult club, this is a separate program, but we highly recommend this program for the kids! Atlanta Field Hockey offers year-round programs for girls and boys of all skill levels from 5 to 18 years old.
